The Chicago Council of Lawyers has been evaluating state court judicial candidates and judges seeking retention to the bench for more than 35 years. We have always provided written reasons and biographical information in our evaluations. For more than ten years, we have been producing a compilation of our evaluations, A Directory of State Judges in Chicago, which we update regularly. We are pleased to announce the availability of our Seventh Edition, which includes biographical information and judicial evaluations conducted between 1986 and 2006.
