Chicago Appleseed in the News
Chicago Parent article focuses on NCLB efforts

caffj no wordsAn August 2007 article in Chicago Parent magazine highlights Chicago Appleseed's efforts to help schools, parents and community members strengthen relationships in order to improve student achievement under the No Child Left Behind Act in Illinois.

"Schools really have to understand it's in their best interest to welcome parents, we hope through a partnership," says Malcolm Rich, executive director of the Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice.

The 2007 Judicial Directory is Now Online!

CCL no wordsThe Chicago Council of Lawyers is pleased to announce that the 2007 Judicial Directory, comprised of judicial evaluations conducted between 1986 and 2006, is now available for the first time ever online at www.chicagocouncil.org.

The Chicago Council of Lawyers has been evaluating state court judicial candidates and judges seeking retention to the bench for more than 35 years. We have always provided written reasons and biographical information in our evaluations. For more than ten years, we have been producing a compilation of our evaluations, A Directory of State Judges in Chicago, which we update regularly. We are pleased to announce the availability of our Seventh Edition online, which includes biographical information and judicial evaluations conducted between 1986 and 2006. Print copies are available for a modest fee, as they have been in the past.
